Allan Chirwa stands as Malawi's most featured gospel artist, with over 100 collaborations defining his illustrious career spanning more than two decades. Born the eldest of five children, Allan's life took a dramatic turn when both parents passed away just after he completed his MSCE examinations, leaving the family without resources.
Musical Journey
Allan's spiritual rebirth in 1998 marked the beginning of his musical calling. By 2000, he joined the Assemblies of God church choir and praise team, quickly establishing himself as a gifted vocalist. Before his solo career, he backed renowned artists including Thoko Suya, Violet Tengani, Ruth Missi, and Frank Chimpazi.
His breakthrough came in 2009 with the debut album "Kufanana Naye," which launched him into the spotlight. Allan has since released six albums: Kufanana Naye, Ebenezzar, Spirituals, Worship Feast, Matamando, and an upcoming sixth project.
Ministry & Impact
Known affectionately as "The Worshipper," Allan views his music as divine calling rather than mere entertainment. His favorite scripture, Isaiah 41:10-13, anchors his faith-driven approach to ministry. Through gospel music, Allan has facilitated countless testimonies of healing, deliverance, and spiritual edification.
Beyond Music
Allan serves as director of the Allan Chirwa Foundation, supporting vulnerable children, women, and youth. He's also a successful entrepreneur, operating Tinanale Farms and Porkpoint pig farming business in Lunzu.
